Manzamo
A dramatic clifftop viewpoint overlooking the East China Sea, considered one of the finest views on the main island of Okinawa. The contrast between the elephant-trunk-shaped rock formation and the endless blue sea is spectacular. Stopping here early in your ride, amid the bold scenery typical of the west coast, is a great way to get your excitement going.
The Area Around Busena Marine Park
A resort-like area with crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches. Simply riding along the coast here is refreshing, with tropical scenery all around. There's also a glass-bottom boat and an underwater observation tower, so if you have time, it's worth exploring further. A great spot to experience the glamorous atmosphere of the west coast.
Gesashi Mangrove Forest, Higashi Village
A lush, calming area that appears near the end of the course. The mangrove forest along the Gesashi River is a designated national natural monument, carrying a quiet, almost primeval atmosphere that feels like Okinawa's original landscape. Riding through this peaceful, natural setting — such a contrast to the bustle of the west coast — is one of the biggest draws of this course.
