you'll find our own Ecostay Higashi,
a glamping hotel that's a true cyclist's paradise.
With few traffic lights or cars around,
the area is surrounded by the Ryukyu forests and sea of Yanbaru,
the subtropical wilderness that makes this part of Okinawa so unique — making it a real cycling paradise.
For those who'd like one,
we have around 30 rental sports bikes available,
along with a fully equipped mechanic's workshop,
making this the ultimate base for cyclists.
Stay the night before your ride,
or enjoy an evening barbecue with Okinawan ingredients under a quiet,
star-filled countryside sky after completing your loop of the Motobu Peninsula —
and savor some proper island time.
Kouri Island
One of Okinawa's finest scenic spots, surrounded by emerald-green sea. Crossing the Kouri Bridge feels like riding straight across the ocean. The crystal-clear water on either side of the bridge is breathtaking, with photo-worthy views the whole way. A must-visit spot for the full exhilaration that only cycling can deliver.
Yagaji Island
A quiet island just before Kouri Island, where time seems to move a little slower. In contrast to busier tourist spots, it's home to local villages and peaceful scenery that let you soak up an easygoing atmosphere. Much of the road hugs the coastline, so you can ride while listening to the waves — an ideal area for anyone looking to experience a calmer side of Okinawa.
The Area Around the Churaumi Aquarium
The area surrounding the Churaumi Aquarium, one of Okinawa's most iconic attractions, blends sightseeing with nature. Spacious parks and open ocean views make it a great spot for a mid-ride stop. Here you can enjoy the buzz of a popular tourist destination alongside beautiful sea views — one of the highlights of this course.
